About the Rock Climbers

The Rock Climbers Box Lacrosse Organization, powered by Athletes Goal, was founded with a clear purpose: to develop athletes who pursue excellence on the floor and in life. Guided by the mission of Athletes Goal, we help players become the best version of themselves through elite lacrosse training, personal development, and mindset coaching. As a box lacrosse training club, we use the fast-paced, high-repetition nature of the box game to develop more skilled, confident, and intelligent field lacrosse players.

Why “Rock Climbers”?

  • Rock – A tribute to founder Brian Cameron, who played professionally in the National Lacrosse League with the Toronto Rock. His experience competing at the highest level inspires the program’s commitment to excellence, player development, and professionalism.
  • Climbers – A symbol of the Athletes Goal vision. Just as climbers are always striving to reach new heights, our athletes are encouraged to push beyond limits, overcome challenges, and continuously pursue their best selves.

Why Train With The Rock Climbers?

High-Level Experience

Founder Brian Cameron has played at the highest levels of box lacrosse in the NLL.

Player Development

More and more players are turning to box lacrosse to elevate their field game. Our program takes that to the next level by using the speed, skill, and constant action of box to develop athletes into more skilled field players by focusing on concepts that will translate.

Personal Development

Off-the-field personal development and mindset skills are often overlooked, yet they are essential to becoming the best version of yourself. That is why we weave the Athletes Goal curriculum and resources into our training to provide the best player development program possible.

What Is Box Lacrosse?

Box lacrosse is an indoor version of lacrosse played in a rink, with 4×4 ft 9-inch nets, artificial turf, and hockey-style boards. Teams consist of six players at a time, including the massive padded goalie. The 30-second shot clock makes the game fast-paced and physical. The smaller playing surface emphasizes high reps, quick decision-making, and creativity in tight spaces.

Benefits of Box Lacrosse:

  • Improves stick skills due to the tight space and more reps.
  • Enhances decision-making: Limited time and space force players to make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Improved shooting and finishing ability: The small goal and bigger goalie force pinpoint accuracy.
  • Playing with others on and off the ball: Playing 2 and 3-man games with and without the ball is a crucial part of the game.
  • Transfers to field lacrosse: The speed, stick protection, and IQ learned indoors directly translate into better all-around play outdoors.
