Middle School
We guide athletes to excel through challenges of middle school in both personal and athletics through creating a vision and developing a roadmap to get there. Clients will hone in on their lacrosse skill while also learning the basic principles of mindset and personal development skills.
High School
We help athletes hone in on their process and develop necessary mindset and personal development skills to reach their full potential. Whether its going from JV to varsity or varsity to ‘player of the year’. In an environment where it is natural to fit in with the pack, we will encourage athletes to take the road less traveled.
College
The jump from high school to college demands athletes to be proficient in time management, organization, discipline and many other skills. Many student athletes do not face the challenges in high school that they will in college like competing for playing time, excelling in long format days and much more. We help players prepare for the jump and excel while they get there.
In our online training, we focus on two different ways to develop. First are ‘driving range’ segments where players are focused on their form and skill without defenders. The second is creating ways to replicate game scenarios. Each drill is designed to include game-like variables, such as defenders or goalies, to help athletes practice executing plays in real-life situations. By introducing these variables, we simulate the pressure of an actual game, allowing players to make smarter reads and decisions both with and without the ball. Many athletes excel in private lessons but struggle to apply their skills in game settings due to a lack of these dynamic elements in their training. We also leverage the power of video analysis to assess performance, provide feedback, and guide players toward improvement. This combination of personalized instruction and game-like training environments helps athletes bridge the gap between practice and performance on the field.
Personal Development and Mindset Content
We teach lessons from 10+ key concepts with over 50 applications, assessments and worksheets.
Elite Mindset
If you do not have the correct mentality, you will continue to have self-doubt and believing that you “just don’t have the mental toughness” necessary to realize your full potential. Setbacks will begin to appear as opportunities for improvement as you develop an elite mindset. You will be able to break through mental obstacles that have been preventing you from reaching your full potential as you grow.
Motivation and Commitment
Without motivation and commitment, no one can achieve their full potential or accomplish major goals. When adversity comes, one’s motivation and commitment level will determine whether they pick themselves up and keep going or give up. Motivation and commitment is a skill that can be developed and it will help you develop the grit necessary to persevere through difficult times even when you don’t feel like it.
Identity
Who you are is greater than what you do. This is not only true but it is a capacity building mindset. We play the infinite game, to become the best version of ourself. Your sport is a finite game within it. The skills and virtues that you develop are what you bring to your sport. We will help athletes instill this mindset and develop a vision on how they are committed to being.
Confidence
You will learn the skills to create unshakeable belief in yourself and your ability so you can perform consistently when the lights are the brightest. Confidence comes from 5 places: Past experiences, others experiences, self-talk, encouragement from others and most importantly, the work.
Present Moment Focus and Awareness
You are at your best when you are fully engaged in the moment without judging, analyzing or looking into the past and future. We will look into why being in the present moment is important and strategies to get there even when it’s challenging. We will identify and eliminate constricting thought patterns that pull you out of the present moment. Performance can easily be derailed by outside noise and negative self-talk allowing mistakes to compound. This is a trainable skill set that enables you to get through adversity. Being focused and aware is essential to achieving that so you can shine brightest when it matters the most.
Discipline
Those with discipline are better able to:
- Complete the important tasks even when they don’t feel like it
- Refocus when adversity hits
- Stay neutral and evaluate events as they are
- Embrace the process as an opportunity for growth.
Routines and Habits
Having strategies and methods you use as part of pre/during/post competition routines are critical to performing at your highest level. Clients will learn how to add and break habits. By utilizing routines and habit-stacking your performance will improve tremendously.
Process Over Outcome
Doing the day-to-day tasks necessary to reach your goals, over and over again, is the ultimate separator. This ‘slight edge’ allows you to develop an appreciation of the simple tasks that compound over time that will help you close the gap from where you are now and get to where you want to be. By developing the process over outcome skill set you can redirect focus to what you can control.
Time Management and Organization
Learn how to own your day from start to finish. The more organized your day is, the more self-discipline, energy, and focus there is to direct toward the most important things. Effective time management saves energy and focus for the things that matter most.
Deliberate Practice
In order to break through where you are now and get to where you want to be you need deliberate practice. Practice turns behaviors into habits leading us to master certain skills. We will go over the best ways to approach practice both on your own and in a team setting. We also talk about what the price of admission is when you take the road less traveled
Gratitude
Gratitude gives you resilience and grit to take on challenges in the world. It creates a mind focused on appreciation. Gratitude not only helps you but spreads great energy to the people around you.
Gratitude:
- Increase energy, alertness and enthusiasm
- Better coping with stress
- Increased self-worth
- Fights entitlement
Leadership
Great teams have great leaders. Leaders understand that in order lead others they must be excellent at leading themselves. They understand that they are creating other leaders and not followers. They have a purpose and vision for not only themselves but everyone on the team. There is no ‘wait your turn’ to be a leader. Everyone can be a leader in their own way no matter their position on the team. We will go over the key characteristics of leaders and how to become one.
